Either of three identical oil paintings by Vincent van Gogh from 1889 that are a part of his wheat field series is titled "A Wheatfield with Cypresses." These were displayed at the Saint-Paul-de-Mausole mental hospital at Saint-Rémy, close to Arles, France, where Vincent van Gogh resided voluntarily from May 1889 to May 1890. Golden fields of ripe wheat, a dark fastigiate Provençal cypress towering like a green obelisk to the right, and lighter green olive trees in the middle distance are all depicted in the painting.
